Course Leader
Jane Allan has run her business giving advice and training to other companies since 1981, when she ceased to be a partner in a firm of chartered accountants in the city. She works with directors, senior management and all levels of staff across a variety of sectors including: telecoms, legal, finance, area health trusts, construction services and government departments. As the first woman to join a firm of accounts in 1969, Jane learned the hard way to make her views heard and accepted. Moving on into the world of financial journalism in the 1970s she the learned the confidence necessary to interview top people on tricky subjects. Jane was also one of the first two women elected to the Council of the ICAEW in 1979.
John Cross is Chief Executive of a company specialising in learning and development. John designs and delivers a wide range of business programmes and counts leading "blue chips" and Government agencies as clients. John served as a Royal Air Force pilot for 12 years before starting his commercial career with British Telecom in 1984. Since then he has held senior sales and marketing posts with a number of international companies. John has wide international experience covering the US, Europe, Middle East and Far East. He has particular expertise within strategy development and sales, marketing and customer service management.
